My dogs last wish, it was clear as could be
She only wanted to be near mine and me
it was as though she had spoken
and when she was gone, our hearts were broken
Our Maggie, our dog, laid to rest
In our eyes, she was one of the best

She was the bravest soul I ever did see,
Together we grew up, her and me
now I have another dog, another Maggie, Never!
But I have a feeling, she will hold my heart together
