What we require from our potential buyers:
So, you are interested in purchasing a mastiff puppy from us. There are a few things that we require from our buyers, and
I will outline them for you here:
*** We will NOT sell to brokers, pet
stores, backyard breeders, or puppy mills.
Please jump below to the links and learn about the horror
of puppy mills and the damage done to thousands upon thousands of puppys in the United States. please be advised, some pictures
are very graphic and not suitable for children.
*** We would ask that we receive all of your contact info, in order
to keep up with where all of our puppies are. It is nice to hear how the pups are doing in their new homes, and we also
like to hold "Mastiff Family Reunions", about every other year--for anyone who would like to come (its up to you... :) but
it is fun). And we need contact info to send an invitation.
*** When the puppy is transfered from our hands to yours, we, as
the breeder, hold the right, under the suspicion/proof of abuse and/or neglect reserve the right to repossess any Cedar Knolls
puppy, without the refund of your money.
*** We hold the right to refuse the deposit payment for any puppy,
if we are not convinced that you are able to provide the puppy with an adequate, and loving home.
*** Before we will agree to sell you a puppy, you must make a phone call
to us and work out details as well as participate in an "interview". This will help us to make sure our pups are going to
suitable homes. No call...No puppy. Period. Potential buyers may also email, and request a phone call be made to them.
Furthermore, they are not strict standards, or requirements that ommit the average family
looking for a pet, or a legitimate breeder, with the knowledge and facilities for mastiffs. They are simply to ensure our
mastiffs go to quality, loving, and genuine homes. Our pups are very precious and it is our desire they lead wonderful lives!

Why are we, and our puppies, different from others?
Our puppies are precious to us! We keep track and keep in touch with each and every
pup that comes from our home. They are apart of our family, and when we give one to a new home, it is a sad,
buy joyous time. We want to know they will be loved and cared for. We insure quality
pups go to quality homes, and do not allow just anybody that offers us the money buy a pup, we are selective and want our
pups to live healthy, long, fulfilling lives.
Kids, adults, pets, and a variety of other "things" interact with our pups almost
on a daily basis, so they have a great start on socialization skills. We also provide new families with a small "care package"
to get them and their new baby off to a good start, in this package we include a picture disc full of pictures of the
litter, the new pup, mom and dad, etc. and often a "litter rag" which is a rag that has been played with by the litter and
has the scent of the mother on it (it can sometimes be pretty dirty and filthy by the time a pup is ready to go). This simply
comforts a pup and aids to an easy transition for the pup. All the pups are around others 24/7 and sometimes have a
hard time adjusting to life on their own. We strive to make this as least a stressful experience as possible. Others
do quite fun and adjust within a day or two...it just depends on the pup.
So, unlike some, our mastiffs are apart of our family. We love each and every pup that arrives, and spend
hours, days and weeks helping the mother and her pups.
Literally, we spend the nights and days, by the mothers side for at least the first 4 weeks--at all
times someone is present in case the mother would need something and to help keep everyone fed and the bed clean.
